Congratulations Dr Yiming Tang

Congratulations to Yiming for her completion of PhD thesis. Dr Yiming Tang's work was looking at the Development of Sulphide semiconductor electrodes for visible light conversion. Working under supervision of Dr Yun Hau Ng and Prof Rose Amal, Yiming was working on tailoring the nanostructures of Copper Indium Sulphide (CuInS2) and Cadmium Sulphide (CdS) which are low cost materials with excellent optical properties to tune their bandgap, visible light adsorption ability and electron mobility, which lead to improved photo-electrochemical performance of semiconductor electrode under visible light irradiation.

Her thesis was highly commended by both examiners and findings from her work maybe crucial for the future development of PEC device based on metal-sulphide materials.

When you asked the normally shy student about her PhD experience in Partcat, this is what she said: "Best thing I ever do in my life and I get to meet lots of people"

Congrats Yiming, we are so proud of you!
