Welcome Dr Xunyu Lu and Dr Jessica Stanley

Welcome to Dr Xunyu Lu and Dr Jessica Stanley, our two new Postdoctoral Research Associates joining Partcat group in 2015.

Dr Xunyu Lu (Rain)  received his BS degree from East China University of Science and Technology in 2007 before he started his PhD study at the School of Chemistry, UNSW in 2011  under supervision of A/Prof. Chuan Zhao. After obtaining his PhD degree, Rain did a 6-month postdoctoral research with School of Chemistry, then join Partcat group in January 2015. His research interests mainly focused on the development of novel functional materials towards highly efficeint energy conversion reactions, such as nanocarbon and/or non-precious metal composites for oxygen evolution reactions and oxygen reduction reactions.

Dr Jessica Stanley completed her PhD studies from the University of Sydney in 2014 under supervision of Prof Thomas Maschmeyer and A/Prof Tony Masters. Her thesis was focusing on ‘Novel Applications of Catalysis for Green and Sustainable Chemistry’. Jessica was a research associate in the School of Chemistry before she joined Partcat in 2015 to work on the sustainable production of carbon based fuels by reductive fixation of the atmospheric CO2 through materials design and assemblies for catalytic conversion of CO2 to fuels
