UNSW Chemical Engineering PhD student Emma Lovell and U Sydney Chemical Engineering PhD student Iman Manavi have won the JCEC (NSW Joint Chemical Engineering Committee) 2016 Postgraduate Symposium competition. Emma's presentation on 'Activating Nickel catalysts for the carbon dioxide reforming of methane' and Iman's presentation on 'Next generation of biodegradable polymer-ceramic implants for bone regeneration' were both highly commended and share the winning prize of $500 for Best Presentation. A total of 6 postgraduate students delivered presentations on that day. The competition was judged by an independent panel on a number of aspects including clarity, originality and how it engage with audience.
