Last week six UNSW researchers had the honour of speaking at this year’s Science at the Shine Dome event in Canberra. The three-day gathering held in the Australian Academy of Science’s Shine Dome from Tuesday 27 to Thursday 29 May brings together the country’s foremost scientists, including several Nobel laureates. Last Tuesday Scientia Professor Rose Amal in the Faculty of Engineering and Professor Matthew England in the Faculty of Science were admitted as new members of the academy and delivered talks on their research.
