UNSW PhD student Sina Moradi (supervised by Professor Rose Amal) is currently on sabbatical with the Research and Innovation Services team at South Australia Water. Sina recently travelled to London to present some of the research outcomes at the18th International Conference on Water Pollution and Treatment. Sina won best presentation award for a paper titled, “HPSEC Application as a new indicator of nitrification occurrence in water distributions systems”. The paper was authored by Sina Moradi (UNSW), Sanly Liu (UNSW), Christopher W.K. Chow, John van Leeuwen (UniSA), David Cook, Mary Drikas, and Rose Amal (UNSW).
The project was funded by Australian Research Council Linkage Project to examine different strategies to manage chloroamine decay and nitrification in water distribution systems.
